music is essential
May. 19th, 2010 05:53 pmI am currently working my way through the MusicChoice OnDemand on our cable box. I've watched videos for Kris Allen (of course, but it is a good video), Miranda Cogrove (what?), Muse, Crash Kings, Phoenix, Ke$ha and others. Yes, my music choices are eclectic but mostly are pop and alt-rock. I like it that way. I like something with a drum beat. Must be from when I played percussion back in high school.
I woke up this morning intending to go to the gym because I didn't go last night but then stepped on the scale, become slightly terrified at what I found and decidedly I could put it off for another day.
Instead I showered, dressed and heading over to my old bookstore that I used to work for. The 3rd (count 'em, thats 3!) Barnes & Noble I've worked at. Yes, granted, its retail and they sooo do not pay enough, but damn there are completely awesome people who work there.
I talked to those awesome former co-workers who gave hugs and one threatened to go to California to beat up my now former best friend. It was fun actually.
I bought the soundtrack for American Idiot on Broadway which I listened to and sang along with. Then headed over to the Mall down the street from my apartment and may hopefully update the software on my iPod so I can download apps for the first time ever! Good times.
